The relatively steep site commands views across Wellington harbour, facing north, and the bush-clad hills behind shelter the site from the Wellington southerlies. The house is conceived as two towers with a thin roof stretched between. A clear legible geometry, the folded carapace to the eastern tower and a simple folded plate to the western form the two protective sides.
