Kelburn additions and alterations
The alterations to an inner city 100 year old house is always an exciting challenge.
The existing house had some unsuccessful additions and alterations over the years.
Our approach was to delineate the new work from the original house to reinforce the
real character of the original house and allow the new additions to fully respond to
the requirements and objectives of the brief . Respecting the proportions and scale
of the original house helped form the arrangement of the new additions.
Re-organising of the living spaces allowed the kitchen to form the hub of the house.
